WE had an enthusiastic gathering for the final luncheon of the season. WE met at the
Royal Vancouver Yacht Club(3811 Point Grey Road) on Tuesday, June 10th from
11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Friday afternoon VSB choir sang to us at the end of lunch, prior to the AGM.
Before lunch was the AGM of the Friends of the VRTA. This fund is held by Vancity Community Foundation, specifically with the
the R.R.Smith Memorial Fund Foundation. Each year thousand dollar grants are awarded to UBC and SFU students studying Education and, within two years, students studying Nursing with a specialty in geriatrics.
